Chiefs heiress goes viral over SMU dorm room after Tavia Hunt shares heartwarming post

Ava Hunt, the daughter of Kansas City Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt is not your average college student, so it's understandable that her SMU dorm room isn't average either.

Ava was dropped from SMU for her first year of university, and the moment was bittersweet for her mother, Tavia Hunt.

“Today I left a piece of my heart at SMU,” she wrote in a long post on Instagram.

“Ava Hunt, you have always been a mix of sunshine and hurricane – wild, fearless, and capable of incredible things. I am overjoyed for you, even as I save my tears for later. I wade through emotions as I walk past your now too clean room, the house is too quiet without your laughter, and Chief and I already miss the familiar scent of your Sol de Janeiro body spray.

“I know you will come back often and that this means a new adventure and freedom for both of us… yet I whisper earnest prayers for your safety, wisdom and for a tribe of new sisters who love Jesus and love you. May God bless you and watch over you – He has never let me down, nor will He let you down. I am excited about the lessons you will learn about God's faithfulness in the coming months.”

While this touching moment was relatable to many parents, fans couldn't help but rave about the sight of Ava's new home over the next few months.

“This is AWESOME! Best dorm room I've ever seen,” one person wrote on Instagram. “Love it guys!!! Ava, congratulations, have the best time and call your mom… often.”

Another added: “Probably the cutest dorm room ever!!”

Ava Hunt announced in December that she would attend SMU in the fall. Later in March, she announced that she would be joining the SMU cheerleading squad.

“It's official!! I am eternally grateful for the opportunity to continue doing what I love! Get a grip,” she said in an Instagram post.
