Peter Dinklage is optimistic that a reboot of “Toxic Avenger” will be released

Peter Dinklage is so proud of his The poisonous avenger Restart, he just wants more people to finally see it.

The Emmy-winning actor was recently asked if the film could hit major theaters soon, as it was “a really big hit” after opening last year's Fantastic Fest in Austin, Texas.

“No, I'm not a producer. I don't know,” Dinklage admitted ComicBook.com. “I want it to go out into the world because it was a real hit at the Fantastic Fest in Austin, and Macon Blair, the writer/director, who also The thicket … He's incredible. He's one of my favorite people and artists.”

The game of Thrones Alum added: “Hopefully it will have its day in the toxic sun.”

The poisonous avengera reimagining of the 1984 cult film, follows Dinklage's Winston Gooze, a janitor whose employer refuses to cover the costs of treating his terminal illness. But after robbing the company, Winston falls into toxic waste and attempts to fix society's ills as the Toxic Avenger, a mutated hero.

There is no release date yet for the horror comedy, which received a critics' score of 92 percent from 25 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes following its worldwide premiere at Fantastic Fest in September 2023.

The reboot also stars Jacob Tremblay, Taylor Paige, Elijah Wood and Kevin Bacon.

Earlier this year it was also announced that Matt Bors and Fred Harper had joined forces for a new The poisonous avenger Comic, from the indie publisher AHOY Comics. The first part of the five-part comic series will be released on October 9th.
