Three people found guilty in John Ehret murder case

JEFFERSON PARISH, Louisiana (WVUE) – Three people accused of killing a 16-year-old John Ehret School student have been found guilty of first-degree murder.

The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said Ahmad Howard was walking to his bus stop in February 2022 when a car pulled up next to him, three people got out and started shooting.

Officers immediately arrested twin brothers Davon and Daveon Gilmore, both 18 years old at the time, and Orlando Washington, then 17 years old.

A jury announced its guilty verdicts on Saturday evening.

Howard's parents said they hope for swift justice in this case and remain loyal to their beloved deceased.

The verdict is scheduled for September 30.
