Ex-husband, not ex-convict – Bobrisky sets the record straight after returning from prison

The controversial Instagram The star said this while recounting his experiences at the Kirikiri Correctional Centre in Lagos.

He was convicted on Friday, April 12, 2024, following a trial by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and was released on Monday, August 5, after serving his sentence.

“They said it was a trip. For me, it's a vacation. A vacation to go out and rest. I've worked so hard. So their decision was fine with me. They decided to break me, but unfortunately nothing happened to the Lagos mama.”, said Bobrisky.

The crossdresser claimed that he was sentenced to prison by people whose intention was to break him, stressing that his imprisonment was like something out of a movie.

“These people wanted to break me. Everything happened to me like in a movie. Waste of money? It's my money. I didn't owe anyone money. I didn't steal. I didn't kidnap anyone. And I was sentenced to what we have for kidnappers and robbers.

“I will still spray money, but I will only spray dollars, not naira,“ he added.

Explaining why he pleaded guilty, which led to his conviction, Bobrisky pointed out that he did so because he was the person seen in the video evidence presented.

He said: “If I had told the judge I was not guilty, she would have granted me bail and I would have gone home. I told the judge I was guilty because I was the one on the video.

“I thought when I told the truth to the judge, I didn't care if my master was a man or a woman. Now it is up to my master to decide whether I should choose between fine, community service or anything else. But my master chose to sentence Bobrisky to prison..”

“I was in the men's reformatory and I really enjoyed it. If they had put me in a women's reformatory, I wouldn't have had fun. I wouldn't have enjoyed myself.”

“While I was in the men's prison, I was the only person who was different. People were kind to me. They took care of me. They gave me things. If I had stayed in the women's prison, who would have taken care of me and bought me food?

“But I was in female custody of the EFCC. Because there were four people in the room. About four to five guys in a room, and this is obviously a bad guy with breasts, a nice figure. So they wouldn’t put me among those guys,“, he concluded.
