Investigation underway into fatal bicycle accident near Georgetown, Texas

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Texas – Authorities are asking the public for help after a 79-year-old man died in a bicycle accident.

The accident occurred between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, on FM 2338 near Fisher Road in Andice, about 15 miles northwest of Georgetown.

When rescue workers arrived, they found an injured elderly man. He was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died.

The cause of the crash remains unclear and we hope someone has evidence that can lead to answers.

Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time if their vehicle has a camera system and may have recorded the incident.
