Unified PD: Man shot in Millcreek incident, suspected to be gang-related

MILLCREEK, Utah, August 25, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) – One person is dead following a shooting Sunday afternoon at a Millcreek apartment complex.

Unified Police were dispatched to the Monaco Apartments near 430 E. 4100 South around 2:30 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found a male victim on the ground with a gunshot wound, they told reporters at a news conference. Unified Police officers rendered aid until paramedics arrived and took over.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.

The suspect(s) have not yet been identified. Police are asking anyone who may have surveillance or recordings of doorbells to notify police at 801-840-4000.
