Off-duty Arvada firefighter dies after car crash Sunday

A 13-year veteran of the Arvada Fire Department died in a car crash on Sunday, the fire department announced on social media.

Kyle Trombly, 34, was off duty at the time of the accident on Sunday.

Trombly most recently served at Station 1, where he began in January 2023, the department said. He previously served at Station 4.

Before joining Arvada Fire in 2011, he was a volunteer firefighter with Fairmount Fire.

“Kyle was a great friend to many,” the department wrote on social media. “He leaves a lasting impression on all those who were fortunate enough to serve with him.”

The circumstances of the crash were initially unknown.
