US and South Korean Marines train counterattack on North Korea

As part of a large-scale joint amphibious exercise that began on Monday, U.S. and South Korean Marines are training how to launch a counter-invasion in the event of a North Korean attack.

The Ssangyong-2024 exercises, also called the “Double Dragon” exercises, will take place from Aug. 26 to Sept. 7 on South Korea's east coast and near the southeastern Korean city of Pohang, the Republic of Korea Navy and Marine Corps announced in a press release on Sunday.
