1 dead and 1 injured in shooting after party in Miami Gardens

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida. – One person was killed and another injured in a shooting in Miami Gardens Sunday evening, authorities confirmed.

According to police, the victims left a party and were followed to the area of ​​Northwest 47th Avenue and 183rd Street, where shots were fired at their car.

According to police, three young children were in the back seat of the vehicle during the shooting, but none of them were hit by bullets.

After the shooting, the victims ran to a nearby McDonald's looking for help.

“Our victims were coming from a party and were being followed,” said Diana Delgado, spokeswoman for the Miami Gardens Police Department. “They are very dangerous suspects if they shoot at a car – at everyone in the car. It could be a gang thing and it is a targeted incident.”

Police confirmed that both victims shot were men, but their identities were not released.

The surviving victim was hospitalized in critical condition.
