BRYAN ADAMS releases video for his version of the KISS song “War Machine”, which he co-wrote

Legendary Canadian rocker Bryan Adams released the official music video for his version of “War machine”one of two songs he wrote in the 1980s with Jim Vallance And KISS'S Gene Simmons.

“War machine” And “Rock'n'Roll Hell”which Adams published earlier this month, both originally appeared on KISSAlbum from 1982 “Creatures of the Night”.

Adams will release “War machine” And “Rock'n'Roll Hell” as a limited double A-side 7-inch single on August 30th via his new independent label, Bad records.

“War machine”The characteristic riff was developed from a bass riff that was played to Adams from Gene Simmons.

Bryan explained: “Here are two songs I co-wrote when I was a 22-year-old, unsuccessful songwriter. I got a call out of the blue from the producer Michael James Jackson to see if I want to write for KISSwhich I did with great joy, and these are some of the songs that came out of it, written with both Gene Simmons And Jim Vallance.

“While I sit with the band, gene played me this fantastic bass riff, which eventually formed the backbone of 'War Machine'. I was trying to think of a theme that could possibly fit the riff and came up with the title. Since the other song we had written was about hell, war was the obvious theme to fit.

“Rock'n'Roll Hell” was actually Jim's song, which was released a few years earlier with BACHMAN-TURNER OVERDRIVEand I suggested that we rewrite it for KISSIt is unbelievable that these issues unfortunately still play a role in today's world, but I am very grateful for the KISS Guys who gave me the chance back then.”

Regarding the accompanying “War machine” Video, he added: “I wanted something monumental for the 'War Machine' Video, and I had worked with the CGI director Ben Ib on a video about peace entitled “What if there were no pages at all?”As a contrast to the peace message of this video, I suggested Ben, that we 'War Machine' Video showing chaos and destruction. In the video, the tyrant who leads the war must finally face the consequences of his actions.”

Adams already mentioned about his collaboration with KISS: “I was thrilled to work with them at the time. I was a broke songwriter, it came at the perfect time. While I was sitting with the band, gene played me this fantastic bass riff, which eventually formed the backbone of 'War Machine'. I was trying to think of a theme that would possibly fit the riff and came up with the title, which was actually an homage to a comic book character.”

Adams told Classic Rock Magazine in 2014: “KISSThe deal was that if they wanted to record the songs, their name had to be on them. They would put a part in the song that was eligible for a credit, but they had nothing to do with writing the songs. Back then – that was around 1981 – Jim and I were just young songwriters waiting for a chance. I guess we were grateful for it.”

AdamsHis music has reached number 1 status in over 40 countries. He has received many awards and accolades, including three Oscar Nominations, five Golden Globe Nominations, a Grammy Award and several Canadian awards such as Companion of the Order of Canada and 18 Juno Awardsamong others. His most recent songs were the Peace Track “What if there were no pages at all?” and two songs from the Comedy Central film “Office race”.
