Nissan Sentra 2025 starts at $22,730, prices increase by at least $775

The Sentra remains a big name among Nissan models. The automaker is usually the third best-selling manufacturer in the U.S. behind the Altima and Rogue, but so far this year the Sentra has sold 29,000 units ahead of the Altima. With the Altima on its way to the glue factory, the Kicks crossover could be in the race for the bronze medal if the all-new Kicks finds more customers in the market. Until then, the crossover, which is similarly priced to the Sentra, has a long way to go to catch up. So far this year the Frontier and Pathfinder have sold more, not to mention the Sentra.

Nissan made big styling changes to the affordable sedan for 2024, so there will be little change for 2025. The mid-level SV trim gets optional NissanConnect Services for $200, which enables remote features like engine start and stop, door locking and unlocking, and vehicle health reports via the MyNissan app, and installs cabin technology like a Wi-Fi hotspot. The other new addition is the Nissan Maintenance Care Program, which allows up to three oil changes over two years or 24,000 miles.

Then it's about the increased MSRPs. After deducting the delivery fee of $1,140, the prices for the 2025 Sentra and the differences from the introductory price for 2024 are:

  • S: $22,730 ($1,005)
  • SV: $23,430 ($775)
  • SR: $25,730 ($915)

Nissan has increased prices for the 2024 model year, making the current 2024 Sentras between $180 and $410 cheaper than the 2025 Sentras. Another $45 of the price difference is accounted for by delivery costs, which were $1,095.

The 2024 changes brought upgrades like a smoother-shifting CVT with an idle start-stop system that's good for better fuel economy in the city, highway and combined driving. There was also a redesigned front end with new headlights and trim-specific extras like new 16-inch wheels on the SV and a revised SR that brought it in line with the Altima SR.

Every Sentra hides a 2.0-liter four-cylinder under the hood that makes a maximum of 149 horsepower and 146 pound-feet of torque. Nissan's Xtronic CVT sends all the engine's power to the front wheels; all-wheel drive is not an option. Every Sentra also comes with features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, blind-spot warning, high-beam assist, lane-departure warning, and automatic rear braking.
