21-year-old man from Holton arrested on Thursday for drug offense

HOLTON, Kansas (WIBW) – A Holton man was arrested last week in connection with cocaine possession, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office said.

The man arrested was identified as David Joseph Donald Friend, 21, of Holton.

A Jackson County Sheriff's deputy stopped a Mercury Milan for a traffic violation on US-75 near 174th Road on Thursday, according to Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse.

The vehicle was searched based on probable cause and officers discovered “illegal contraband” inside, Jackson County Sheriff Tim Morse said.

Friend was subsequently arrested and booked into the Jackson County Jail for possession of cocaine, hallucinogenic drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
