CINCINNATI POLICE SAY SHE WAS ONE OF TWO WOMEN SHOT ON READING ROAD ON JULY 12. SHE WAS TAKEN TO UC MEDICAL CENTER BUT DIED FROM HER INJURIES. NO WORD TODAY ON THE CONDITION OF THE OTHER VICTIMS. Police: Woman dies after double shooting last night in Avondale

More than a month after a shooting in Avondale, a woman has died, Cincinnati police said Monday. The crime occurred around 2:30 a.m. on July 12 in the 3500 block of Reading Road. According to police, officers found two women with gunshot wounds at the scene, both of whom were taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. On Monday, police said 29-year-old Nyema Norton died from injuries she sustained in the shooting. Police have not released any information on whether they have any information on a suspect or what led up to the shooting. The Cincinnati Police Department's Homicide Unit investigation is ongoing.
