Man smashes window of double-parked car in viral TikTok video

IT It's no surprise that many drivers resort to double parking when parking is scarce, especially in busy areas where the number of cars far exceeds the number of available parking spaces.

Recently, a video surfaced on TikTok showing a man taking drastic measures when his car is blocked by another vehicle.

In the video, which has now gone viral, the man can be seen expressing his frustration at not being able to leave a parking lot because his vehicle is blocked by another car.

At the beginning of the video, he expresses his displeasure and says that he has to drive away, but is prevented from doing so by the blocking vehicle, a Perodua Myvi.

“Whose car is that blocking the way?” he asked.

“This will teach him a lesson,” he said, pointing to a large stone he was holding. Then he tried to break the car window by smashing it several times.

After successfully breaking the driver's side window, he attempted to release the handbrake to move the vehicle out of the way. However, it is clear that the car has an automatic transmission and the gear is in “P”.

“Problem solved,” he added, seemingly justifying his actions by saying he wanted to teach the absent car owner a lesson because he no longer had a phone number.

The video drew mixed reactions, with some viewers criticizing his extreme reaction while others expressed sympathy for the man's frustration.

User @frankrxII commented, “If you do something like that, don't show it,” and @macalisterynn asked, “Do what you want, but why post the video and make it go viral?”

On the other hand, @amirbetul commented: “He didn't seem too upset but it's satisfying to see. I've done this myself three times,” and @YiKbnL admitted: “I've always wanted to do this but I'd have to pay for the damages by law so I'm not doing it.”

Another user, @MrAminApple, reported his difficulties in a similar situation. He used the necessary channels, including contacting the police and DBKL, but did not receive any effective help.

“I called the police twice, tried to contact the car owner and asked DBKL for towing assistance. Although we waited for almost two hours, DBKL never came.

“Because of weak enforcement, people have no problem double parking, while those of us who use the designated parking spaces are the ones left with a guilty conscience,” he said.
