Job advertisement for the sequel to Lies of P points to open-world setting

developer Neowiz has indicated that his Lies by P. The sequel will be set in an open-world environment, and a job posting for a field level designer specifically mentions “extensive experience with open-world games.”

The job posting also mentions that “action creation, tool development, mini-game development, and open-world experience” are preferred for the role. That's pretty much all that can be gleaned from the job posting, although back in January, another job posting at the studio revealed that the Lies of P sequel will run entirely on Unreal Engine 5.

Lies Of P was released in September 2023 for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One. In March of this year, Neowiz confirmed that the game had reached seven million players worldwide.

Lies Of P is based on the classic story of Pinocchio, but with a darker twist. Players take on the role of a puppet created by Geppetto and discover that the once vibrant city of Krat has become a dark, blood-soaked and evil place full of madness. Traveling on foot through the city, which is decorated in a stunning Belle Époque style, players must battle biomechanical enemies using an arsenal of weapons and their trusty mechanical arm, which can be equipped with all sorts of handy tools.
