“They have made me more stubborn,” says Kavitha outside Tihar Prison

It is a huge relief for the BRS party, especially former Telangana Chief Minister KCR, that his daughter Kalvakuntla Kavitha has been released from Tihar Jail. On Tuesday morning, the Supreme Court of India granted her bail in the Delhi liquor scandal case. An hour ago, she was released from Tihar Jail and soon after she came out of the jail, she became emotional.

Kavitha received an emotional welcome from her husband, son, brother KTR and other party workers.

After her release from jail, Kavitha spoke to the media and expressed her relief. She vowed to right the wrong done to her. “I am the daughter of Telangana. I am the daughter of KCR. I can never make a mistake. They sent me to jail because of a political conspiracy. I am innocent and now I am even more stubborn. I will fight for justice,” Kavitha said.

Kavitha also said, “We will continue to fight legally. We are fighters.”

Kavitha thanked the BRS staff who supported her and her family during this difficult time. The BRS members celebrated Kavitha's release with a grand spectacle, which included setting off firecrackers outside Tihar Jail.
