Altus man faces murder charges after allegedly intentionally causing accident

ALTUS, Okla. (KSWO) – Police now believe the accident in Altus last week was intentional. The man now faces more than 90 years in prison.

Elvis Rojo of Altus faces three charges: attempted murder, kidnapping, domestic violence and obstructing a 911 call.

According to the affidavit, Rojo allegedly beat a woman late Wednesday night, August 21, and prevented her from calling the police.

Documents say a child flagged down a driver for help, but moments later, Rojo is accused of intentionally causing an accident that injured himself and three other people.

If found guilty on all counts, he faces up to 91.5 years in prison.

We have attempted to reach the hospitals listed in court documents to obtain an update on the patient status of all victims, but have not yet received a response.

An arrest warrant was issued against him.
