Seksan is ready for a “fierce” fight with Liam Harrison in the clash of Muay Thai legends at ONE 168: Denver

Seksan Or Kwanmuang was the must-see fighter of the year for 2023, and he will look to reclaim that status when he returns at ONE 168: Denver against Liam “Hitman” Harrison.

The 35-year-old Thai batsman has been sidelined since April due to injury but is now healthy and ready to make his U.S. debut on Friday, September 6, at Ball Arena.

Fans have been patiently waiting for this 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai fight with Harrison to become official, as the aggressive tactics of both men will almost certainly lead to an open war.

And Seksan, for his part, can't imagine anything other than wild action when the two legendary strikers collide in the circle.

“The man who gives in to no one” told onefc.com:

“Both he and I have the ability to knock each other out because we both have the same style. So I firmly believe it won't go the full distance.

“But if we fight to the final bell, it will be three tough rounds!”

On the other hand, Harrison has stated that his top priority in this fight is to entertain fans in ONE's North American return, with victory or defeat not being the main factor.

Seksan also wants to deliver a memorable performance – but he still has something to prove against the hard-hitting Brit:

“Winning this fight is very important to me because many fans believe I am not a match for him. [They think] I'm getting knocked out.

“If I can beat [Harrison]then I take another step [forward] in ONE.”

Seksan “feels flattered” by Liam Harrison’s respect

Although they will undoubtedly fight like sworn enemies at ONE 168, Denver, Seksan Or Kwanmuang and Liam Harrison have nothing but respect for each other.

Both men are decorated and revered Muay Thai world champions who have been at the top of the sport for years – and they have always admired each other's work.

Harrison challenged Seksan to face one of his heroes, and “The Man Who Gives Up to No One” gladly accepted the fight for the same reason:

“I'm glad he challenged me. He's a legend. I follow him too. He's a tough fighter. I'm glad he said he wanted to fight a legend from Thailand. I'm flattered that he calls me a hero.”

The opportunity to face such a dangerous opponent gives both strikers additional motivation.

Seksan is particularly concerned about Hitman's striking power, although he believes his own toughness could give him an advantage if they run into difficult waters on September 6.

The Thai added:

“Liam's strengths are his powerful punches and kicks. His style is similar to that of a traditional Muay Thai fighter. His punches are very dangerous.”

“His weakness is that sometimes he can't withstand a very strong attack. He staggers if he is hit too hard.

“I think my physical condition is a little better than his because I am three years younger than him. But it is a very small advantage.”
