Sewage disaster in Medina makes Meydenbauer Bay unsafe

King County health officials are advising people and their pets to avoid an area of ​​Meydenbauer Bay following a sewage overflow in Medina.

According to the City of Bellevue, a contractor damaged a sewer pipe, causing sewage to overflow into the bay.

Until September 2 at 3:45 p.m., people are advised to avoid the area highlighted on a map posted on the Bellevue X page (formerly Twitter) and attached below:
