London police investigate shooting

LONDON, Kentucky (WYMT) – A woman was arrested following a shooting in Laurel County.

Jerry Hollon, chief of the London police, says several charges have been brought against Heather R. Manning of London.

These fees include:

  • Second degree assault
  • Fourth degree assault
  • First degree wanton endangerment (two counts)
  • Deprivation of liberty (two counts)

On August 25, London Police officers responded to a 911 call from the home of Joe T. and Judy Roberts at 1 Heather Way in London.

When officers arrived, they found Heather R. Manning lying on the ground in front of the house with a gunshot wound to her arm.

Officers then found Judy W. Roberts lying on the ground inside the houses, injured, apparently as a result of an armed attack by Manning.

Both were taken to CHI St. Joseph-London Hospital and later transferred to the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington.

Heather Manning is being held at the Fayette County Detention Center awaiting transfer to the Laurel County Detention Center.

The investigation by the Investigation Division of the London Police Department is currently still ongoing.
