A man named Justice will now have to face justice, thanks to the prison CO

Thanks to the watchful eye of a Penobscot County corrections officer, a man wanted for murder in another state is facing those charges… and now more.

According to the Penobscot County Sheriff's Office, the man was originally taken to the Penobscot County Jail by Dexter police at 10:30 p.m. Monday night to face a drug charge.

He had given his name to authorities, but when the man began acting a little strange during the intake of his case, one of the correctional officers working at the prison that night thought something was wrong.

“The man's evasive statements prompted the officer to further investigate his identity provided upon arrest. After a thorough process, correctional officers and a member of the medical team confirmed that the man had provided a false name and date of birth to the arresting authority. After properly identifying the man, correctional officers confirmed that he had a full extradition warrant for murder out of Pennsylvania.”

Judge Flenory, 23, of Exeter, now faces additional drug charges in addition to the murder, drug trafficking and aggravated forgery charges he faced in Pennsylvania.

The Penobscot County Sheriff's Office praised the jail staff involved in properly identifying Flenory for ensuring he was ultimately housed in the correct location rather than being placed in a lower-security section of the jail or released on bail.
