Fugitive arrested after standoff in Spokane Valley | Spokane News

SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – A man was arrested by Spokane County officials following a SWAT team response after it was discovered he had an outstanding warrant out of Idaho.

On August 26, at approximately 3:40 a.m., Spokane County officers responded to a report of a possible domestic violence incident at a home on East Agusta Court. When they arrived, they found blood stains and possible stab wounds on the front door.

Deputies said the homeowner told them her former partner had previously been in the home and caused damage, but did not provide further details.

Officers said they entered the home and saw more blood and damage to walls and doors, as well as an ammunition box and ammunition. Although the homeowner said there were no firearms, officers found a shotgun in a bedroom. The woman's two friends, who had arrived shortly before officers, were unaware of the incident.

The homeowner's boyfriend, identified as Danile J. Gadley Jr., had cuts on his hand and forearm but claimed they were from a non-physical argument. He refused medical treatment. Officers later identified Gadley using a driver's license, later found a car at the scene and determined he had an outstanding warrant out of Idaho.

Officials said they evacuated everyone from the home and set up a perimeter. Despite repeated requests for Gadley to come out, he remained inside the home. A search warrant was obtained and a SWAT team, crisis negotiators and other support units were called in.

Officials said they searched the home with a drone and found Gadley sleeping in bed. A SWAT team member then broke a window and woke Gadley, who surrendered without resistance.

Officials said he was arrested and booked into the Spokane County Jail, where he awaits extradition to Idaho.
