2 accident victims from Lower Bucks identified

EASTERN MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has determined the identities of the three victims killed in a traffic crash on County Line Road Friday evening. Two of them are from Lower Bucks County.

Coroner Janine Darby said her office was called to a multi-vehicle crash on County Line Road near Park Avenue in Hatboro at 10:30 p.m. Friday.

The coroner's office was involved in an investigation involving multiple agencies, including local police and several fire and emergency departments.

Two dead people were recovered from the wreckage, a third person
pronounced dead in hospital.

The cause of death was determined to be multiple injuries and the cause of death was an accident, the coroner said.

The deceased are clearly identified as:

  • Joseph Snavely, 31, of Southampton
  • Gabrielle Sims, 31, from Southampton
  • Anne Swoyer, 69, of Hatboro

The Coroner's Office's role is to positively identify the deceased, ensure that the next of kin have been notified of the death, and, through investigation, examination and forensic testing, determine the cause and manner of death.

Hatboro Police responded to a report of a one-vehicle entrapment crash in the area of ​​County Line Road and Park Avenue at 6:35 p.m. Friday. The crash involved three vehicles, one of which flipped onto its roof.

An initial investigation revealed that a Chevy Camaro driven by a 31-year-old man was traveling west on County Line Road near the Warminster border when it crossed into the eastbound lane and collided with an eastbound Nissan SUV.

The Nissan was driven by a 69-year-old woman. A third vehicle, a Hyundai, traveling eastbound behind the Nissan, was also involved in the accident.

Hatboro Police Chief Mark Ruegg told Patch that more information should be released later this week as the investigation into the accident is ongoing.

A woman, a passenger in the Camaro, is fighting for her life. Two others were also injured.
