Murder suspect from Indio appears in court for the first time

A 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of shooting a man in Indio is scheduled to make his first court appearance on Wednesday.

Indio resident Ruben Molina is scheduled to be charged with murder at an arraignment Wednesday at the Larson Justice Center in Indio.

According to Indio police, officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 80,000 block of Jennifer Court around 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning and found a man lying on the ground in front of a home with a gunshot wound.
