We now know which degrees lead to the highest paying jobs in MN

As children and young adults across Minnesota prepare to return to school for another year, we now know which degrees lead to the highest-paying jobs here in the North Star State and across the country.

If you're looking for a new job, you probably want one that's fulfilling and offers decent benefits. But the biggest consideration might be how much you can earn, right? Earning one of the following degrees can help you find some of the highest-paying jobs in Minnesota.

These days, it can be difficult to find a well-paying job with generous benefits and a decent work-life balance – both here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes and across the country.

But there's one important thing you can do to find a job opportunity that offers just that and more: And that's to go back to school. According to Patch.com, a college degree is something that will generally significantly increase your lifetime earning potential here in the Bold North. Patch noted:

Graduates of certificate programs who were employed in Minnesota seven years later earned an average of $50,588 a year, associate degree holders earned about $5,000 more a year and bachelor's degree graduates earned an average of $66,312 a year, state data show.

However, the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) states that these numbers depend on the field of study. The department recently published the bachelor's degree programs in Minnesota that have paid the highest salaries over the past seven years:

  1. Management Science and Quantitative Methods — $126,000

  3. Construction/Construction Finishing, Management, Inspection – $118,000
  4. Architectural Engineering – $108,000
