Fight in Grant County could encourage hate crimes | Dubuque's Super Hits 106 – KIYX

Authorities said a brawl that took place earlier this month in southwestern Wisconsin could lead to aggravated charges if the Grant County District Attorney’s Office reveals elements of a possible hatred Crime. A news release from the Grant County Sheriff's Office states that authorities were notified at approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 18 of a fight that had occurred shortly after 1 a.m. that day on Sandy Lane in Jamestown Township. The news release states that a video of the incident, showing some of what happened during the fight, was posted on social media. The video included racial slurs used during the incident. The investigation determined that “multiple individuals, juveniles and adults, were involved in the incident.” 20-year-old Anthony Drapeau of Hazel Green was arrested and is accused of disturbing the peace and assault in connection with the incident.
