SPD officer injured in isolated accident on I-516 tonight.

A Savannah Police Department motorcycle officer was injured in a car crash on Interstate 516 tonight. According to a Savannah Police Department post on the social media site “X,” “the officer sustained serious injuries and was transported to Memorial Health for treatment.” WJCL 22 News emailed the police spokesperson to ask for more details on the accident and to see if anyone has received a report about the crash. We're told police will have more information on Thursday.
