Police investigate nighttime shooting in Algonquin area

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky – Louisville Metro Police are investigating a shooting that occurred late Wednesday night in the Algonquin neighborhood.

At around 10:30 p.m., police responded to a call of a sniper in the 2300 block of West Gaulbert Avenue.

According to the news, when police arrived at the scene they found an adult woman shot to death.

According to officials, the woman's death was pronounced at the scene.

According to police, there are currently no known suspects.

The LMPD homicide squad is investigating.
