Second victim dies weeks after ‘devastating’ car crash last month

Nearly four weeks after the fatal car crash that killed 45-year-old Yadira Caamal of San Fernando last month, it has just been confirmed that the victim's husband, Marcos Caamal, has also died. He died on August 9 after being in a coma in the hospital since the accident. He was 48 years old.

Isela Saucedo, Yadira’s sister, told the San Fernando Valley Sun/el Sol that she and the rest of her family want the teen driver they believe is responsible for the July 15 crash – which occurred near the intersection of San Fernando Mission Boulevard and Hollister Street – arrested and charged in her death.

Three people were involved in the accident – Yadira and Marcos Caamal, who were in a white Audi sedan, and an unidentified teenager driving a black Silverado truck. Saucedo said they were informed that the teenager allegedly ran a red light and was driving “twice the speed limit.”
