Beena Antony talks about personal attacks after viral video with Siddique

Actress Beena Antony has commented on a viral video featuring her and actor Siddique. She stated that the video, which shows her consoling Siddique during an 'AMMA' meeting, is being circulated in a misleading manner. Beena clarified that the video was shot when she met Siddique at the meeting following the death of his son Sappy. She said that she has known Siddique's son since his childhood and that Siddique has always treated her like a sister.

Beena expressed concern over the personal attacks being levelled against her in connection with this video. She stated that while all allegations against Siddique should be thoroughly investigated and, if found to be true, should result in appropriate punishment, she demanded that the character assassination attempts against her should be stopped immediately.

Beena looked back at the current crisis in the film industry and noted that it is a difficult time, especially after the mass resignation of 'AMMA'. She acknowledged the distress and fear that everyone in the industry is feeling. Beena explained that she felt compelled to address the situation after the video of her and Siddique went viral on social media and even within family groups.

Beena further narrated the circumstances of the video. She mentioned that many of her colleagues had come to visit after the death of Siddique's son Sappy to offer their condolences. However, Beena was unable to attend due to illness. The next time she saw Siddique was at the general assembly of 'AMMA', where the video in question was recorded. She reiterated that her interaction with Siddique was due to long-standing family ties, recalling how she and her mother had visited Siddique's house when his son was a child and the warm welcome they had received from his late wife and mother.
