An American content creator’s opinion on Indian men’s delivery mode goes viral

An American content creator sparked a debate online after sharing his observations about Indian men in an Instagram post. John, who has been living in India for some time, believes that “Indian men easily get into lecturing mode.”

He explained that he might say just one sentence and end up receiving a 30-minute lecture about it from Indian men.

“I have been living in India for a while now and I have noticed that Indian men easily get into lecture mode. I mean, I can say one sentence and suddenly I get a 30-minute lecture. I haven't even said or done anything wrong and I still get a lecture. Sometimes it's something they don't know about,” John, who is married to an Indian woman, said in the video.

“For example, if I say something about American culture, they lecture me about American culture. One time an Indian wife said to her husband, 'If you really listen to John, you might learn something.' He was completely shocked at the idea of listening to me. It's like he didn't even know it was an option,” John added.

“One of the reasons why most men in India don't talk to their parents is the same. Every conversation turns into a lecture,” said one user.

“You're absolutely right. No matter how old they are, as soon as you start talking, they immediately switch into uncle mode and start lecturing you.”

Several Indian women also expressed their opinion on John's attitude. “Imagine being married to them” is an example of such a comment.
