Your guide to finally understanding all Squishmallow sizes and prices

Squishmallows have been all the rage since Jazwares launched the cuddly line in 2017. From fandom collaborations to original creations, there are tons of designs to choose from. Whether you're a Squishmallow connoisseur or a novice collector, navigating all the sizes and prices can be a bit overwhelming.

That's exactly what this guide is for. Without further ado, let's break down all of the official Squishmallow sizes and tell you how much money you can expect to spend when choosing your new cozy companion.

Squishmallows come in different sizes

(Jazwares)

Squishmallow offers a wide range of sizes, from clip-on keychains to plush toys large enough to double as pillows. There is no one best option. Which size you choose depends on your personal preference, budget, and availability. Some designs are only available in certain sizes, so keep that in mind when shopping.

There are currently 10 sizes listed on Jazwares’ official website:

  • 3.5 inch
  • 5 inch
  • 7 inch
  • 8 inch
  • 10 inch
  • 11 inch
  • 12 inch
  • 14 inch
  • 16 inch
  • 20 inches

For those who like their Squishmallows huge, don't worry. Although Jazwares doesn't list 24- or 30-inch sizes in its “Shop by Size” dropdown menu, you can still filter or search for those sizes. However, pet beds make up a large portion of the larger Squishmallows. For plush toys, your best bet is Amazon or stores like Walmart and Hot Topic.

Although all of these options seem extensive, Squishmallows can essentially be divided into four categories: keychain, small, medium, and large. Please note, however, that prices may vary depending on the seller and rarity.

Squishmallows keychain (3.5 inches)

Average price range: $3 – $10

Keychain Squishmallows are perfect for decorating backpacks, purses, or just keeping in your pocket. At 3.5 inches, they're ideal for on-the-go use. When it comes to Squishmallows, keychains are the cheapest option. They're also often sold in packs of 5 or 6, which makes for some pretty good deals.

While popular offerings like “Joelle The Bigfoot” tend to be expensive, packages like the Fantasy Squad six-pack are cheaper per plush toy.

Small Squishmallows (5 to 10 inches)

Average price range: $10 – $20

If keychains aren't your thing, the next smallest plush toy Jazwares offers is 5 inches tall. They're great for home collection or to take on the go, as they're easy to hide in bags and backpacks. However, anything up to 10 inches also falls into the “small” category of Squishmallow. This gives you plenty of size options and price points to consider.

This size is also popular for brand collaborations. For example, the new 10-inch Beetlejuice Squishmallow was released to celebrate Beetlejuice – The Great Adventures release and quickly became a hit.

Medium Squishmallows (11 to 14 inches)

Average price range: $18 – $30

If you are looking for plush toys that are more suitable for cuddling, the medium sized Squishmallows are the best choice. 13 inches is now a discontinued size, you can choose from 11, 12 and 14 inches. These are available at a reasonable price and also make great gifts for children and adults.

Popular bestsellers:

Large Squishmallows (16 to 24 inches)

Average price range: $20 to $50

Anything in the medium range is probably the optimal size, but large Squishmallows are undeniably compelling. Not only do they liven up any collection, but they also make great pillows for lazy days in bed.

Unsure about the size of a Squishmallow? Check the label

The size of a Squishmallow is usually easy to determine when ordering online. However, if you suspect you have received the wrong size or are buying a used Squishmallow, you can always check the label. The size is written after the “S”. For example, S12 means you have a 12-inch plush toy. Of course, if your Squishmallow doesn't have a label, measuring it lengthwise with a tape measure should be sufficient.

It's always good to keep tags. In addition to size information, they also contain the collector's number (when the figure was created compared to others) and interesting facts about your Squishmallow.
