Major crime scene at home where woman was killed before man was shot by police; child found dead – Boston 25 News

TROY, NH — A large crime scene is still visible at a southern New Hampshire home where a woman was found dead hours before a man suspected of killing her was shot and killed by police on the Piscataqua River Bridge.

According to New Hampshire Attorney General John M. Formella, police officers called to a home at 359 Monadnock Street in Troy sometime during the night launched an investigation into the “suspicious” death of a woman.

The man who investigators believe killed the woman fled the home and drove about 100 miles to the Piscataqua River Bridge on the border between Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Kittery, Maine, according to Formella's office.

Officers located the man on the bridge and shot him. They then found an 8-year-old child who had been shot in the suspect's vehicle.

The northbound and southbound lanes of Interstate 95 over the bridge were closed shortly after 3 a.m. and did not reopen until shortly before 10 a.m. while police investigated the fatal shooting involving an officer.

State police and Troy police officers were still at the home at 359 Menadnock Street in Troy late Thursday morning.

A photographer from Boston 25 News captured video showing a New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit van parked in front of the home. The video also shows a bicycle with training wheels in the driveway and what appeared to be moving boxes from Home Depot in a garage area.

Formella's office said the investigation into the bridge shooting was being led by the Maine Attorney General's office.

The names of the dead woman, the dead man and the dead child were not released.

This is a developing story. Check back later for updates as more information becomes available.
