We have been informed that a man and a woman are on the road to recovery after being shot Thursday morning.

Officials with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office are investigating a double shooting in Marrero. We're told a man and woman are recovering in the hospital. Officials say this happened Thursday morning near the intersection of Lapalco Blvd and Westwood Dr. Officials say both people were taken to a hospital. There is no information on arrests or what led up to this shooting.
