Ceniza Fina adds Box Pressed Robusto Gordo and increases prices

Ceniza Fina Cigars expands its debut line with a fourth vitola and increases prices.

The new cigar is the Ceniza Fina Corojo Box Pressed Robusto Gordo, a 5 1/2 x 56 Robusto Gordo. Like the rest of the line, it uses an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper over a Mexican binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic – Criollo 98, HVA, Piloto Cubano – and Jalapa, Nicaragua. Production is by TABACALERA LA iSLA in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic.

It costs $12.50 and went on sale last week.

In addition, the other three vitolas in the line have each become 50 cents more expensive. In a press release, Ceniza Fina cited increased manufacturing costs as the reason for the change. The new prices are:

  • Ceniza Fina Corojo Corona Gorda (6 x 46) – $10
  • Ceniza Fina Corojo Robusto (5 x 50) – $10.50
  • Ceniza Fina Corojo Toro (6 x 50) – $11
  • Ceniza Fina Corojo Box Pressed Robusto Gordo (5 1/2 x 56) – $12.50

Ceniza Fina, Spanish for fine ash, was launched earlier this year by Sam and Rosie Lopez, who also own Fine Ash Cigars, a retail store in Glendale, Arizona. The brand is distributed by Pospiech Distribution.
