The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the second overdose death this week

The Williamson County Sheriff's Office is investigating the second suspected overdose death this week after a 34-year-old woman was found dead on Wednesday.

According to a statement released Thursday by the sheriff's office, officers discovered the woman's body in a residence in the 16,000 block of Terrace Drive in Austin.

During a search of the house, investigators seized various illegal substances, including fentanyl, methamphetamine, LSD, Xanax and psilocybin mushrooms.

On Monday, a 34-year-old man died of a suspected overdose in Round Rock.

“We urge members of the community to join us in our efforts to combat drug trafficking and prevent further deaths,” the sheriff's office said. “We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends affected by this devastating loss.”
