Police: Suspected drug dealer arrested again after raid in Elyria

ELYRIA, Ohio (WOIO) – Elyria police said new charges will be filed against a suspected drug dealer following a search warrant executed Thursday.

According to police, Josiah Winston has a long criminal history related to drugs, including an active probation sentence and a pending case in Lorain County.

On Thursday, officials said he had been presented with several new charges in connection with the raid.

Elyria police said their officers, along with the FBI, executed a search warrant for a home at the Copper Ridge Apartments on Park Meadow Drive.

The authorities confiscated, among other things:

  • Crack cocaine
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
  • Stolen firearm
  • US currency

Officers said they arrested the 22-year-old during the operation.

He is accused of drug trafficking, drug possession, possession of weapons while disabled, receiving stolen goods and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to police, Winston is currently being held without bail in the Lorain County Jail.
