Motorcyclist killed in accident in Midtown Sacramento

SACRAMENTO – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Midtown Sacramento on Sunday, police said.

Around noon, an accident between a motorcycle and a car was reported at the intersection of 24th and J Streets, near Rick's Dessert Diner.

According to police, the motorcyclist was taken to hospital where he later died.

The motorcyclist was identified as 55-year-old Jose Silva of Sacramento.

The road was closed for the investigation and reopened shortly before 6 p.m.
