His eyes never lose focus

Team Andrews got to work

Andrews is the youngest of four children and his family is his main training team during the off-season. The Andrews are close-knit and know how ambitious Mark is.

Great achievements run in the family. His father and brother Jack are both urologists. His brother Charlie works with Martha in her successful real estate company. His sister Annie is a dentist and recently opened her own practice.

The Andrews siblings are all very competitive, athletic and determined. When Mark needs a workout, his dad and some of his siblings are there, ready to challenge Andrews as much as he challenges himself. The family loves being around Mark, and he loves it when they join in.

“People are kind of shocked that he doesn't have anyone famous to train with,” Martha said. “He has people working on his body, but the Ravens give him training equipment and he goes from there.”

Andrews bought a house a few years ago just about a mile from his parents' house in Scottsdale. His house has a huge backyard that houses a jugs machine, log sled, battle ropes and more. In the offseason, Andrews has purchased more specialized equipment to focus on improving the flexibility and strength of his ankle.

When he wasn't rehabbing at home, Andrews went to a local sports field, which he favors for his meticulous workouts that often draw large spectators.

“We love this one field because he's very picky about the grass,” said his father Paul. “He has to like the grass. The people who work in this field, most people probably wouldn't let us do what we do and climb over the fence with all this equipment. But they know it's Mark, and the kids know it's him, and they come and watch.”
