Don Cheadle hilariously addresses the obvious mockery of him during Obama's speech to the National Convention

Don Cheadle's dry response to seemingly innocuous remarks made to him during the Democratic National Convention drew plenty of laughs from the audience on Seth Meyers' Late Night show on Thursday.

The moment in question came when a cameraman switched to Cheadle in the audience after former President Barack Obama warned of a possible second Donald Trump presidency, saying: “We don't need four more years of noise, bluster and chaos. We've seen this movie before, and we all know the sequel is usually worse.”

The cutaway was widely interpreted as a dig at Ocean's 12, the critically acclaimed sequel to the gangster film Ocean's 11. Cheadle appeared in both.

Meyers deferred the Obama moment to Cheadle, a longtime friend and supporter of Vice President and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.

The actor could only watch in silence and say: “What’s going on?”

“Why does the cameraman have to do this to you?” Meyers joked, before both joked about how Cheadle should have reacted – and that this wasn't the only time he was criticized for his performance in the film.
