Did the government lie about jobs?

Monday, 02 September 2024

Most voters suspect that there is a political hand behind the federal government's recent admission that it overestimated the creation of new jobs.

The Rasmussen Report's latest nationwide telephone and online poll shows that 53% of likely U.S. voters believe the overestimation was politically motivated, while 34% believe it was an honest mistake and 13% aren't sure. (To see the wording of the poll question, click here.)
