Brazil vs Ecuador: How to watch the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier live, TV channel, start time, preview

Brazil will be looking to improve its flagging World Cup qualifying run against Ecuador, who have recovered a point deduction and are in top form ahead of a key CONMEBOL qualifier for the 2026 World Cup in Curitiba on Friday, also on Telemundo and NBC Universo.

Ecuador is ahead of Brazil in the table despite losing three points before the start of qualifying for fielding a player whose legal passport contained false information.

The Tricolor have eight points and a goal difference of plus 2, one point more than Brazil in sixth place. The best six nations automatically qualify for the 2026 World Cup, with a seventh team taking part in the playoffs between the confederations.

Brazil were eliminated from the 2024 Copa América in the quarter-finals on penalties by Uruguay after losing three consecutive World Cup qualifiers at the end of 2023: away to Uruguay and Colombia and at home to Argentina.

Ecuador, on the other hand, have three wins and two draws after losing to Argentina at the start of qualifying. The 11 points they would have without the point deduction would put them in fourth place, six points above the playoff spot.
