Action-packed Friday in downtown Spokane: Def Leppard, SPS football and more | News

SPOKANE, WA — Downtown Spokane will be busy Friday night as major events take place at three of the city's main venues: One Spokane Stadium, Spokane Arena and the Pavilion. The area will host high school football games, a Def Leppard concert and a Matt Nathanson performance, drawing thousands of attendees and raising concerns about traffic and parking.

Schedule for Friday evening

High School Football

Cheney vs. LC: 5 p.m. at One Spokane Stadium

Shadle vs. Ferris: 8 p.m. at One Spokane Stadium

Matt Nathanson, Switchfoot, Blue October– Help from my friends tour:

6 p.m. in the pavilion

Def Leppard concert:

Park

Because large crowds are expected, traffic and parking difficulties are expected in the area. Spokane Public Schools families can park for free with parking permits available at the One Spokane Stadium ticket booth. SPS visitors can park in the new Lot C, located at the corner of Howard and Boone.

Traffic information

Due to ongoing construction on Washington Street, motorists should expect delays. The City of Spokane recommends accessing the venues via Boone Street via Monroe Street, Maple Street, Ash Street or Division Street.

Venue Policies

A clear bag policy will be enforced at all venues. Attendees may bring one clear plastic or vinyl bag no larger than 14″ x 14″ x 6″. Small clutch bags (up to 6.5″ x 4.5″) and clear zippered storage bags (1 gallon) are also permitted.

At all venues, concessions are sold cashless.
