The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is just around the corner. Apple has officially announced that the next big event will take place on September 9th. Of course, we expect the new iPhone 16 series, but what usually comes out along with Apple's next-generation smartphones are new Apple Watch models.

Alongside the Apple Watch Series 10, we're keeping an eye out for the Apple Watch Ultra 3. With the big event fast approaching, rumors about the next-generation Apple Watch Ultra are already rife. Here are all the credible leaks you need to know.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Every single rumor we know

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is probably the most premium Apple Watch model you can get. The Ultra variant is known for its better battery life, brighter screen, and more options for high-performance athletes. It's also larger.

The question, however, is how the Ultra 3 is rumored to differ from the Ultra 2. Let's examine the leaks in more detail, but first, let's discuss the release date.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 release date

The Apple Watch Ultra 3 is expected to be unveiled during the “Glowtime” event on September 9.

Based on this release date, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will likely hit stores on September 20th.

Apple Watch Ultra 3 Price

I've been keeping an eye on the rumor mill and at this point, no credible details have leaked out about the price of the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

The current Apple Watch Ultra, the second-generation model, has a starting price of $799. We predict the same price for the Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Design of the Apple Watch Ultra 3

Accordingly BloombergMark Gurman, a reliable Apple leaker and respected analyst, will reveal the Apple Watch Ultra 3 not received no significant hardware upgrades. Therefore, it is likely that Apple will rely on a variety of new software upgrades to make the Apple Watch Ultra 3 more attractive.

The Apple Watch Ultra is relatively new (it launches in 2022), so the Cupertino-based tech giant is probably not ready to give its design a major overhaul just yet. According to Gurman, the main hardware upgrade the third-generation Apple Watch is getting is a new chip.

According to Gurman, this differs from what we hear about the Apple Watch Series 10 models, which are said to have larger screens.

Therefore, it is safe to assume that the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will retain more or less the same specifications as its predecessor:

Interestingly, Apple was rumored to be releasing an Apple Watch Ultra model with a Micro-LED display that would cost $1,500, but this has reportedly been pushed back to 2027.

Health features and sensors on the Apple Watch Ultra 3

Apple has reportedly been working on adding three new health features to the Apple Watch:

1. Blood pressure monitor

2. Sleep apnea sensor

3. Glucose monitor

However, there were rumors that Apple had problems with the blood pressure monitor in particular, especially in the design of the Watch Series 10. And regardless of the watches, the blood pressure sensor was too unreliable in tests, according to Gurman.

It is unclear whether Apple will drop the blood pressure feature for the Apple Watch Series 10 and add it to the Apple Watch Ultra 3 — or give up altogether.

Battery life of the Apple Watch Ultra 3

If the rumor that Apple is delaying the launch of the MicroLED display until 2027 is true, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 may not get the longer battery life that many were hoping for.

Currently, Apple claims that the Apple Watch Ultra 2 offers up to 36 hours of battery life. If the specifications remain the same, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 could have the same battery life.

Apple Watch Ultra 3: Is it worth the upgrade?

“If you spent $799 on an Apple Watch Ultra last year, it's unlikely you want to afford this version,” Gurman said.

To sum up, according to the rumors and leaks, it looks like the Apple Watch Ultra 3 will just be an iterative update.

Rumor has it there won't be any major hardware upgrades, but you never know what the Cupertino tech giant will be up to when it announces the Apple Watch Ultra 3 on September 9.
