TV, time and program Saturday

College football's 12-team playoff era is underway, and the first few games of the 2024 season offered plenty of exciting storylines and developments to digest. But Saturday's schedule, which includes 75 Week 2 games featuring at least one FBS team, offers a little bit of everything as what happens on the field begins to carry more weight than the speculation of the preseason polls.

There's a top-10 matchup between No. 3 Texas and No. 9 Michigan in the noon ET television window and then a top-25 matchup between No. 12 Tennessee and No. 23 North Carolina State in primetime Saturday night. There are conference games in the Big Ten, SEC, ACC and Big 12, as well as regional rivalry games outside of the conference (Iowa State vs. No. 21 Iowa and Colorado vs. Nebraska). There's even a big-name Group of Five conference playoff contender (Boise State) getting a chance at a top-seeded win over one of the Big Ten's newcomers (No. 6 Oregon) to close out the weekend.
