Starting Friday, TosaFest transforms Wauwatosa Village into a destination with live music, beer gardens, KidsFest, a food court, contests and more.

Here's what you need to know about the festival before you head out this weekend.

When is TosaFest 2024?

Dates: 6 September – 7 September

Location: Village of Wauwatosa, between State Street, Wauwatosa Avenue and Harmonee Avenue

Hours: September 6, 5pm-11pm, and September 7, 11am-11pm

How much does it cost to participate in TosaFest?

Admission is free.

Events for TosaFest 2024:

The organizers ask participants to register in advance for the following activities. You can register online here.

Arté – The street painting experience with Arté wine and painting studio: Participants can create a painting of their choice. ($40).
Friday night in the park with Le Reve and The Ruby Tap: Enjoy live music, food and a variety of wines ($60).
Sangria under the stars – make sangria and paint wine glasses with GreyHouse Creative: Learn how to make your own sangria and learn about the history of the cocktail ($40).
Cheese Curd Eating Contest with The Village Cheese Shop: Contestants eat 1 pound of curds and whoever finishes first or eats the most in five minutes wins prizes, including the curd crown. ($15)
Pairings in the park with The Village Cheese Shop and The Ruby Tap: Attendees can enjoy wine and cheese, including cheese featured on Top Chef Wisconsin ($50).
Oktoberfest Stein Holding Contest with the Wauwatosa Historical Society: The man and woman who hold a full pitcher the longest will be the winners. Winners will receive a Draft & Vessel gift certificate ($30).
Charcuterie! Ultimate Cheese Board Experience with GreyHouse Creative and The Village Cheese Shop: Build your own wooden tray and present cheese, meat and side dishes ($65 per person or $90 per couple)

Music program at TosaFest 2024:

TosaFest will feature over a dozen musicians performing over the weekend, from traditional polka to rock 'n' roll. The full music program can be found here.

Are there any child-friendly activities at TosaFest?

Here’s a look at some of the kid-friendly activities at TosaFest:

On Saturday only, there will be bounce houses, cornhole and other activities from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. in the parking lot on Wauwatosa Avenue near Harmonee.

On Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., TosaFest will host a balance bike course for children ages 3 to 6 in Hart Park next to the volleyball courts.
