When is the time change?

For years, lawmakers in several states have been pushing to keep daylight saving time year-round. And while there have been rumors of year-round daylight saving time in Florida for years, we'll be switching to daylight saving time in 2024 anyway.

But the autumn equinox, or “first day of fall,” occurs before we set our clocks to “change.” And even though the clocks will soon change and the leaves will soon be falling in some places, it will still feel like summer in Florida well into fall.
