Jim Fleming is the head coach at “Rhody” (the affectionate acronym you may hear from avid Rams fans), and he'll bring a spirited CAA squad to Minnesota's Huntington Bank Stadium on Saturday. The interconference matchup comes just after Rhode Island's thrilling last-minute win in its season opener last weekend, in which QB Devin Farrell caught a late touchdown pass to earn a hard-fought victory over Holy Cross.

For Minnesota, this weekend's nonconference game is a test of sorts before things get serious when the Gophers face the Iowa Hawkeyes to kick off their Big Ten schedule on Sept. 21. As the final seconds ticked off the clock in last weekend's home opener, Minnesota saw its luck dwindle when a potentially game-winning field goal against North Carolina went wide right.

The noon game between Minnesota and Rhode Island is just the first of three Big Ten college football games streaming on Peacock on Saturday.
