The Penn State Nittany Lions will look to capitalize on their home-court advantage for the first time this season when they host the Bowling Green State Falcons at Beaver Stadium on Saturday. Both teams come into this matchup off of big wins in Week 1.

Penn State is in top form after opening its season with a crucial road win over West Virginia. The Nittany Lions defeated the Mountaineers 34-12 last week. At the end of the third quarter, the game was all but decided, with the Nittany Lions holding a 21-point lead.

Penn State's success was the result of a balanced attack that featured several players playing to their strengths. Quarterback Drew Allar was the key to the success, however, rushing for 216 yards and three touchdowns on just 17 attempts. Star running back Nicholas Singleton rushed for 114 yards and one touchdown on just 13 attempts.

Penn State averaged 7.6 yards per play. This strong performance was nothing new for the team: They have now averaged 6.1 yards per play in four consecutive games last season.

Bowling Green, on the other hand, made light work of its first home game, edging past Fordham 41-17. The Falcons got off to a good start when Justin Pegues returned the opening kickoff 100 yards for a touchdown. Running back Terion Stewart was also brilliant, running for 161 yards and three touchdowns on just 14 carries, including a 73-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter.
