In Arcane Season 2, the animation still takes your breath away

At that time Arcane Season 2 will be released on Netflix in November, a full three years will have passed since the fans of the League of LegendsIn the last series inspired by the series, sisters Vi and Jinx took different paths in the face of the looming confrontation between the societies of Zaun and Piltover.

The wait seems to have been worth it, however, considering the first glimpse we got from Netflix ahead of the highly anticipated debut of season two later this year – which will also tell the epic origin story of Arcane of the two sisters who became champions, on opposite sides of an impending war. The newly released trailer for season two below, featuring Ashnikko's track Paint the city blue from the Arcane The second season's soundtrack hints at the impending conflict, and is such a stunningly animated visual feast that this trailer alone is better than many of the actual Netflix series I've seen in the last year or so.

In this way, I agree with the top comment in the comments section of the trailer below, which raves, “The animation in this show is so incredibly insane and incredibly beautiful, everyone who worked on it deserves a gold medal.”

In the series, which still has a perfect 100% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes, the sisters are voiced by Ella Purnell (Jinx) and Hailee Steinfeld (Vi), both of whom undergo a complete transformation at the end of the first season. Jinx, also known as “Powder,” becomes increasingly mischievous, while Vi proves herself to be a master of the arts.

As for the cities involved in the war, Piltover is wealthy and obsessed with progress, while Zaun is an oppressed “undercity.” Netflix adds: “When two brilliant inventors find a way to fuse magic and technology, they set off a chain of events that reignite old tensions and bring new heroes to confront them.”

As we wait for an official release date in November, we should keep in mind that while this is the end of the show, there will be more stories to come in one form or another.

Arcane is just the beginning of our larger storytelling journey and our partnership with the wonderful animation studio Fortiche,” said co-creator Christian Linke during a League Dev Update. “From the very beginning, since we started working on this project, we had a very specific ending in mind, which was the story of Arcane ends with this second season. But Arcane is just the first of many stories we hope to tell in Runeterra.”
